The Shetland Museum Photo Archive contains over 60,000 images depicting Shetland life, heritage and culture dating back to the 1800s. This magnet features one such photo of Hay's Dock, c. 1950.
Built by the firm of Hay & Ogilvy in the 1820s. Hay’s Dock was once the centre of Shetland’s booming fishing industry. Hay’s Dock is the last remaining area of original dock on the Lerwick waterfront, and is now home to the Shetland Museum and Archives.
