Shetland Crofthouse Museum

The Shetland Crofthouse Museum is a living history museum - visitors can step back in time and discover what life would have been like for Shetland families living in a thatched crofthouse in the 1870s.

Open daily from 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm May to September with no booking required. Keep an eye out for upcoming events at the Crofthouse including music nights, family days and traditional craft workshops.

Old Scatness Broch & Iron Age Village

Undiscovered beneath our feet for over a millennium - join us as we uncover the mystery, myth and legend of this world class heritage site.

Open on Fridays for guided tours taking place at 10.15am, 12.15am and 2.30pm. The 2024 season runs from 3rd May to 30 August.
